Turntable Upgrade: Bellevue Hill NSW
1958 Turntable
Early in 2025, we were called in to tackle a unique Turntable upgrade project in Bellevue Hill. The existing turntable was a manual car turntable from the 1950’s. Built from a deep steel frame with a timber top. The tenants would have had to physically push their vehicles to rotate them. Not exactly ideal in 2025.
The residents wanted a modern, remote-controlled turntable solution, one which wouldn’t compromise the character of the building but would upgrade the usability. That’s where PowerUp came in.
Removal
Removing the old Turntable was no small task. The steel frame was heavy and deeply embedded, the existing pit didn’t suit the dimensions required for our modern Turntable.
Once the original turntable was out, we prepared and poured the concrete base to ensure a perfectly level and structurally sound foundation. The bespoke dimensions needed to match the original footprint, we custom-built a new motorised turntable, tailored specifically to the site.
Installation of new Turntable
Once the new base was set and cured, we installed the bespoke turntable upgrade. Designed to match the unique diameter of the old unit. The team tailored every part of the system to the existing space with precision.. From wiring up the motor to testing the rotation and final finishes, our team made sure everything worked smoothly and safely. The result is a reliable, modern turntable that’s easy to use and blends seamlessly with the space.
The end result? A completely transformed parking experience. The tenants loved the upgrade; they no longer had to get out and push their cars manually. With the new remote-controlled turntable, they can now rotate their vehicles effortlessly, saving time and hassle every day.
It’s a big win in both convenience and safety, and they’ve told us just how much easier life is now with the modern system in place.
